A STORM SYSTEM CROSSING THE REGION TODAY WILL BRING CHANCES FOR RAIN
AND SNOW TO THE AREA. SNOWFALL ACROSS THE BLACK HILLS WILL BE
HEAVIEST THIS MORNING...THEN DECREASE FOR THE REST OF THE DAY WITH
ADDITIONAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 2 INCHES.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...
SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...NORTHWEST IOWA...AND NORTHEAST NEBRASKA.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

WINTER WEATHER...
RAIN WILL SPREAD ACROSS THE AREA TODAY. SNOW WILL MIX WITH THE
RAIN MAINLY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE 90 AS COLDER AIR
FILTERS IN...AND WILL BECOME ENTIRELY SNOW NEAR THE HIGHWAY 14
CORRIDOR. MAINLY MINOR ACCUMULATIONS OF A HALF AN INCH OR LESS
ARE EXPECTED...HOWEVER 1 TO 2 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE NEAR HIGHWAY
14. MOST OF THE RAIN AND SNOW WILL EXIT THE AREA FROM WEST TO
EAST THIS AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING.

WIND AND FOG...
A POTENT STORM SYSTEM WILL TRACK EASTWARD ACROSS THE AREA TODAY.
WINDS WILL TURN NORTH BEHIND THE LOW AND INCREASE TO 20 TO 35 MPH
LATE MORNING THROUGH THE EARLY EVENING HOURS.

FIRE DANGER...
SOUTH WINDS WILL INCREASE LATE THIS MORNING TO A GUSTY 20 TO 30
MPH...WHILE HUMIDITY VALUES DROP TO 25 TO 30 PERCENT ACROSS MUCH
OF NORTHWEST IOWA AND FAR NORTHEAST NEBRASKA. VERY HIGH FIRE
DANGER IS EXPECTED MAINLY SOUTH OF A LINE FROM PONCA NEBRASKA TO
LE MARS IOWA TO SPENCER IOWA.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.
