 a flood warning for the...

  Guadalupe River

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

All persons with interests along the river should monitor
the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary
precautions to protect life and property.

River stage forecasts are based on observed rainfall along with
predicted rain for the next 12 hours. If actual rainfall varies
from forecast values, forecast river stages will vary.

Do not drive automobiles through flooded areas. Remember, 18 inches
of water or less can carry away most vehicles, including trucks.

If you see flood waters or come upon a flooded roadway, remember
to turn around and do not drown.

* until Wednesday morning...or until the warning is cancelled.
* At  3:45 PM Tuesday the stage was 6.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rapid rise above flood stage by late afternoon and continue to rise to near
  7.1 feet by this evening.The river will fall below flood stage by tonight.
* Impact...At 6.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding reaches the lower portions of
  campsites along River Road. Water reaches the bridge floor at Gruene Road..

  morning.
* At 28 feet, Moderate flooding is expected along the river reach.

* At 0215 PM Tuesday the stage was 15.40 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river should rise above flood stage by Tuesday
  afternoon and continue to rise to a crest near 18 feet by Tuesday
  evening. The river should fall below flood stage by Wednesday
  afternoon.
* At 18 feet, Moderate river flooding is expected. Numerous trailer
  homes will flood at Pleasant Valley.

* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to a crest near 27 feet
  by Thursday morning. The river should fall below flood stage Friday
  night.
* At 26 feet, Minor flooding can be expected downstream at Horseshoe
  Bend.

* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...Rise above flood stage by this evening and continue to rise to near
  11.1 feet by this evening.The river will fall below flood stage by tonight.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding makes secondary roads and
  low bridges in the flood plain dangerous to motorists. Equipment should be
  moved from low docks and boat ties loosened downstream in Kingsland..

  stage by 6 pm on Tuesday cresting around 7.5 feet. The river is then
  expected to fall below flood stage by 8 am Wednesday morning.
* Impact...At 7.0 feet...Moderate lowland flooding closes Farm to Market 1581
  near Derby..

* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.

* Forecast, rise above flood stage by tonight and continue to rise to
  near 11.9 feet by Wednesday morning. The river will fall below
  flood stage by early Thursday afternoon.
* At 12.0 feet, water encroaches on some homes along Dashers Landing
  Road and Yarbrough Landing Road. Davis Landing Road also becomes
  impassable.
