Table D2 or D3

Data level designator ii
(when T1   =   D, G, H, P, Q, V, X or Y)

There are TWO tables defined for this designator.

T1   = D, G, H, P, Q, V, X, or Y

1. The WMO standard Table D2 as documented in Manual 386 PART II, Attachment II-5, and used for T1   = D, G, H, P, Q, V, X, or Y , which is used in most parts of the world for defining these products.

T1   = H, X, Y, and Z

2. The U.S. National Practice Table D3 which is used to extend the data level designation of ii definitions as defined in WMO manual 386 Table D2, and used for T1   = H, X, Y, and Z bulletins, used for most U.S. model products.
